gkkworks managed the construction of the $6.5 million City of El Centro's 18,565-SF Fire Station No. 3 and Administration Complex, with associated development of the 2.4-acre site. Work includes coordinating construction activity between the various utility companies, municipal and state agencies, and contractor; assisting the City with pre-bid meetings and preconstruction meetings and activities; providing all inspections; and providing trouble-shooting with the contractor, project architect, and the City to assist in finding solutions to any issues between the parties.
To create access to the new Fire Station No. 3, the project also includes extending Waterman Avenue from Bradshaw Road to Lincoln Avenue. The scope of this $2.1 million roadway extension includes traffic control and signalization for a new intersection, utility relocations, new asphaltic concrete two-lane roadway (approximately 1,500 linear feet), median, signage, and street lighting.
