Phase 2 included the complete renovation of meeting rooms, 7,600 square feet of pre-function space, the 8,500 SF Constitution Ballroom on Level 3, the 17, 490 SF Independence Ballroom
on Level 5, as well as public circulation and rest rooms. The final phase of the renovation replaced the hotel restaurant and bar with the new CURE Bar & Bistro, giving the hotel an updated street level identity and access. The project was completed in 2008. gkkworks served as managing architect for the project working in association with the Washington, D.C.-area firm Adamstein & Demetriou, who served as the lead designer for the CURE Bar & Bistro and provided local support for the renovations.
