Harbor-UCLA Medical Center
gkkworks was selected as the prime consultant to provide project/construction management and support services for the construction of a replacement surgery/emergency building at the Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. The new replacement building, to be constructed adjacent to the existing building, is approximately 190,000 SF. Services for this design-build project include management, monitoring, and evaluation of all key project activities to ensure optimum project delivery, meeting all budget and schedule requirements. Construction of the initial make-ready projects began in October 2006, with the final completion of the project’s construction, including the 540-car parking structure, central plant and emergency generator upgrades and the new surgery-emergency facility, scheduled for Spring 2013.
