DMNS Addition Certified LEED Platinum

Denver, CO –The Morgridge Family Exploration Center, the latest 126,000 SF addition to the Denver Museum of Nature & Science (DMNS), earns LEED Platinum certification via the U.S. Green Building Council. DMNS partnered with architecture firm, klipp|gkkworks and general contractor, GH Phipps Construction, on this five-story addition which opened to the public in February of 2014.

Topanga Library Turns Green into Gold

The U.S. Green Building Council has awarded the Topanga Library a LEED® Gold certification. LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) is a much sought-after accreditation. The application process can be time consuming, but the end results are a facility with lower operating costs, lower carbon footprint, and a healthier working environment. gkkworks was mindful of that when the community looked to the firm for a project that they could be proud of; the project was delivered above the original goal of a Silver rating.

Douglas County Commissioners Build Upon Master Plan and Expand the Robert A. Christensen Justice Center

Based upon master plan concepts developed by Denver-based gkkworks, and RicciGreene Associates, Douglas County commissioners awarded a multiphase contract to expand and improve the Robert A. Christensen Justice Center in Castle Rock, Colorado.
